Here at The Box Gallery we’re extremely proud to welcome Anna Matykiewicz - an emerging Polish-born artist now based in Ireland. Anna is a painter known for creating artworks with exquisite tenderness. Her stunning portraits explore the abstract, and express her interest in shapes, and the traditional boundaries of light and shadow.
Anna says that she aims to “create canvases that serve as invitational landscapes, beckoning viewers to embark on their own interpretive journeys. I envision a dialogue blossoming between my art and their perceptions, where the lines blur between the artist's intent and the observer's imagination.”
Anna completed Studies of Higher Education in Design, with a specialty in Visual Communication from the School of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland, before moving to Dublin and achieving a Progression Award in Photography.
