Artist submissions: Guidelines and Overview

We are committed to curating a dynamic collection that reflects the forefront of contemporary artistic expression.  We are looking for artists whose works not only showcase a fusion of contemporary and modern aesthetics but also embody a commitment to inclusivity and diversity, reflecting the rich tapestry of all cultures. We value art that goes beyond boundaries, challenging conventions while fostering a sense of unity and understanding. 

If your portfolio aligns with this vision of embracing diverse perspectives and celebrating cultural richness, we enthusiastically invite you to submit your work for consideration.

Artistic Style: We want to work with artists whose works showcase a fusion of contemporary and modern aesthetics, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions.

Exhibition History: Priority will be given to artists with a proven track record of exhibitions, demonstrating a trajectory in their artistic journey and market awareness on a local, national, or international scale. We are also here to 100% support people on this journey - so realise not everyone has this yet as they move from emerging to established in the artworld

Physical Gallery: A selection of works  will be featured in our physical gallery, rotated to maintain a fresh and dynamic experience for our visitors. 

Online Gallery and social media: All works (including limited prints and artworks falling within a lower end of the valuation tier) will be showcased on our online platform, enhancing accessibility to a broader audience.

(When applying to exhibit at The Box Gallery, it is mandatory to be included in both the Online and Physical Galleries.)

Minch as we are a new gallery, we are already receiving a high number of artists request to show with us. - which is amazing.  Due to this we would very much appreciate it if you would use the form below - it helps us to manage the submissions better.  We will try and get back to you as soon as we can, but realistically this could take a couple of weeks.

If you haven't heard from us after a month, it is probable that your submission, while appreciated, does not align with our current needs, but we will still try and come back to you. This decision in no way reflects on the quality of your art, as we receive numerous outstanding requests daily. There might also be times later when your work would be perfect - so we will make sure we keep a list of all people who submit.

Just for clarity and transparency, we operate on a sale or return basis (or sometimes directly invest in artworks/artist portfolios, but this will be rarer.) It's important to note that while we do not request fees from artists to show with us, we are unable to cover the initial transport costs associated with sending artworks to us.

• Valuation Tier/Pricing: Provide your suggested valuation tier for the artwork, considering provenance, experience, and overall artistic impact. Also - please give an overview of the justification.
• Artwork Images: Attach high-quality images of the artwork from various angles.
• Overview of any series or works you are wanting to exhibit

Exhibition History:

• Previous Exhibitions: List significant exhibitions, both solo and group, with dates and locations.
• Awards and nominations : Please let us know of any awards or other relevant provenance details you think would be useful.
